Tom and Tracy Brennan bring decades of elite experience, leadership, and horsemanship to Vineyard Haven, creating a program defined by excellence, integrity, and thoughtful rider development!

Tom Brennan is a rider, trainer, judge, author, clinician, and broadcast commentator with a distinguished career at the highest levels of the sport. A two-time IHSA National Championships champion and former captain of the Stonehill College equestrian team, Tom spent 14 years training under Tony Workman, where he developed and managed elite horses and riders while overseeing large-scale, high-performance competitive programs.

Throughout his career, Tom has partnered with exceptional horses including Gramercy Park, the WCHR Hunter of the Year, and Purple Heart, earning numerous championships at major horse shows and indoors. He was named World Championship Hunter Rider Emerging Professional Championship and has guided junior and amateur riders to success at the sport’s most prestigious venues, including Harrisburg, Washington International Horse Show, Pony Finals, USHJA Hunter Championships, and Medal Finals.

Tom holds United States Equestrian Federation “R” judging licenses in Hunters and Hunter/Jumper Seat Equitation and is regularly selected to officiate the sport’s most prestigious competitions. He also serves on the Boards of Directors for both the United States Hunter Jumper Association and the USEF, contributing to the continued advancement and integrity of the hunter discipline nationwide.

Tracy Brennan, founder of Vineyard Haven Farm, holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Massachusetts and brings a deep, well-rounded foundation in equine health and nutrition. Her early career focused on developing comprehensive nutrition and management programs for premier equestrian facilities, shaping a philosophy grounded in thoughtful care and long-term performance.

A professional rider and gifted mentor, Tracy has built Vineyard Haven around classical fundamentals, elite horsemanship, and a strong emphasis on sportsmanship. Under her guidance, students consistently qualify for indoors and earn championships at renowned competitions including Upperville Horse Show, Middleburg Horse Show, Gulfport Winter Classic, and the Vermont Summer Festival, along with accolades such as World Championship Hunter Rider, Virginia Horse Shows Association, and Zone Horse of the Year honors.

Known for her warmth, positivity, and intuitive coaching style, Tracy cultivates a refined yet welcoming environment where riders develop confidence, technical skill, and a foundation for lasting success both in and out of the show ring.
